Document Sorting — How It Works
Uploading a document is only useful if it ends up somewhere organized. DocDocVault’s sorting engine handles that step automatically, so your team doesn’t have to manually file every record into the right folder.
How it works:
- Upload a document through the platform (individually or in a batch)
- Classify — the sorting engine reads the document and matches it against your entity’s compliance categories (for example, recognizing a set of meeting minutes and routing it under Governance → Board Meeting Minutes, or a signed contract under Vendor Contractual)
- Route — the file is placed into the correct structured folder in your vault automatically, following the same category structure used by your compliance checklist
- Confirm — you can review and adjust the classification before it’s finalized, so nothing gets miscategorized
Why this matters: as your document library grows, manual filing becomes the first thing to fall behind. Automated, compliance-aware sorting keeps your vault consistently organized from day one, so the structure that made your organization easy to audit on day one still holds up years later.
